2 Days Rishikesh Trip from Delhi and Rudrapur

If you are planning a short and budget-friendly trip to Rishikesh with friends, then this travel blog will help you a lot. Recently, we planned a 2-day Rishikesh trip from Delhi and Rudrapur with friends and love ones. This trip was full of adventure, river rafting, waterfalls, street food, and beautiful mountain vibes.

In this blog, I will share our complete Rishikesh itinerary, travel expenses, rafting experience, hotel stay, scooty rent details, and places we explored during the trip.

Day 1 – Journey to Rishikesh from Delhi and Rudrapur

On 17 April रात 10 बजे, 4 friends left from Delhi by bus for Rishikesh. At the same time, me and my wife started our journey from Rudrapur around 8 PM.

Early morning, we all met at Nepali Farm, which is one of the common stopping points before reaching Rishikesh and Tapovan.

Nepali Farm to Tapovan by Vikram

From Nepali Farm, we took a Vikram auto to Tapovan.

Fare: ₹100 per person

Travel Time: Around 30–40 minutes

The early morning weather and mountain views made the ride refreshing and exciting.

Hotel Stay in Tapovan Rishikesh

Stay at Mount View Inn Rishikesh

After reaching Tapovan, we checked into Mount View Inn early in the morning.

Hotel Details

  • Hotel Name: Mount View Inn
  • Location: Tapovan, Rishikesh
  • Rooms Booked: 2 Rooms
  • Stay Duration: 1 Night
  • Total Cost: ₹6000

The hotel rooms were comfortable and good for a group stay. After freshening up, we quickly got ready for the most exciting part of the trip — river rafting.

Important Hotel Tip for Rishikesh Travelers

Most hotels mention 11 AM or 12 PM check-in timing, but if rooms are available, you can negotiate and often get early morning check-in at the same price.

This can help you freshen up and save extra money on early check-in charges.

River Rafting in Rishikesh Experience

Marine Drive to Neem Beach Rafting

We booked rafting from Marine Drive to Neem Beach, which is one of the most popular rafting routes in Rishikesh.

Rafting Charges

  • Rafting Cost: ₹700 per person
  • Photos & Videos: ₹300 per person

The rafting experience was absolutely thrilling. From powerful rapids to jumping into the cold Ganga water, every moment was full of excitement and adventure.

We enjoyed every second of the rafting journey and captured many unforgettable memories.

Important Rafting Tips to Avoid Scams

Never Pay Money in Advance

One important thing we learned during the trip:

Never give advance money to rafting agents before your boat is actually loaded onto the transport vehicle.

Some agents may unnecessarily delay the process after taking payment.

Always Confirm Rafting Starting and Ending Points

Before booking rafting, always ask clearly:

  • Where the rafting starts
  • Where the rafting ends

Many tourists get cheated because agents provide shorter routes while charging for longer ones.

Always confirm the route before making payment.

Lunch and Evening Relaxation

After rafting, we returned to the hotel, took showers, and had lunch. By then it was already around 5 PM, so we rested for some time before exploring Rishikesh again in the evening.

Exploring Rishikesh on Scooty

Scooty Rent in Tapovan

In the evening, we rented 3 scooties to explore nearby places.

Scooty Rental Cost

Rent: ₹700 per scooty

Having scooty made local travel easy and fun.

Janki Setu and Street Food Experience

We visited Janki Setu and explored the nearby streets. The evening atmosphere of Rishikesh felt peaceful and energetic at the same time.

We also tried different street foods and local snacks, which made the experience even better.

After spending quality time there, we returned to the hotel late at night and slept after a long adventurous day.

Day 2 – Neer Waterfall Visit

Early Morning Trip to Neer Waterfall

The next morning, we woke up early and visited Neer Waterfall.

The natural beauty, cold water, and peaceful surroundings made it one of the best parts of the trip.

If you are visiting Rishikesh, Neer Waterfall is definitely worth visiting.

Return Journey from Rishikesh

After returning from the waterfall, we checked out from the hotel around 11:30 AM.

We had lunch and then took another Vikram ride back to Nepali Farm.

From there:

Our friends boarded the bus for Delhi

Me and my wife returned to Rudrapur

And with that, our beautiful Rishikesh trip came to an end.

Total Estimated Trip Cost

Approximate Expenses Per Person

Vikram Ride: ₹250 (both side)

Hotel Stay: 1k

River Rafting: ₹700

Photos & Videos: ₹300

Scooty Rent: ₹350

Food & Snacks: Extra

This trip was budget-friendly and perfect for a short weekend getaway
